About the Congress
Breda University of Applied Sciences is excited to host the 18th World Leisure Congress.
The Congress brings together leisure professionals from all around the world, academia, government, and industry to promote informative, stimulating, and challenging discussions on the latest issues in leisure.
Breda University of Applied Sciences fully embraces the view that leisure should be for the benefit of all human beings. Therefore, we have chosen the WLO 2025 conference theme in the Netherlands “Leisure for a Better Society”. We define three different vantage points that give our theme focus and relevance: a social perspective, an economic perspective, and a sustainability perspective. These three perspectives serve as binding elements and as an organizing principle throughout the conference program.

Breda is a charming city in the south of the Netherlands, vibrant, and historical. Apart from century-old buildings, it contains loads of hip, fun, and affordable food outlets and lifestyle spots. The small scale of the city suits the educational vision of Breda University of Applied Sciences. It makes both the city and its residents easily accessible.
